Julie approaches her clinical practice with a collaborative and compassionate trauma-informed lens, working closely with individuals and families to help them achieve their self-identified goals.
Her extensive experience spans various settings, including non-profit organizations, BC Children's Hospital, Vancouver Coastal Health Mental Health Teams, Vancouver School Board, high-risk community clinical mental health care, and her private clinical counselling (psychotherapy) practice in Vancouver.
Julie became highly skilled in VIRTUAL Therapy during Covid. The VCH Urgent Mental Health Team she was working with at the time made the needed 100% switch from in person to Virtual Only. The VCH Team transitioned with professional clinical support, and we transitioned well! Since then Julie has been offering virtual AND in person clinical therapy.
*As of Sept. 1, 2026 Julie will now make the switch back to offering virtual therapy only. Virtual therapy is evidence-based, and in fact is the preferred method of therapy for many clients all across British Columbia.
She is trained in a diverse range of practice areas and therapeutic modalities.
Julie offers a person-centred, empathic and strengths-based approach.
